All forms of racing have occupied Chuck Rush’s career. Early on, he participated in Demolition Derbies and Figure-8 races across the country as a part of TNT’s Motor Madness. When that show ended he continued racing throughout Florida in demolition derbies and strictly stock races. Friends of his claim he would have been the next Dale Earnhardt but he wasn’t found at the right time and didn’t have any money.

Chuck has also been involved with the Crash-A-Rama series since Don Nerone took over promotions of New Smyrna Speedway and Orlando Speedworld. He began as a major participant in the Figure-8 School Bus Race, winning more than any other driver.

He eventually worked his way up to assisting Don in promoting and prepping School Buses for the event. Chuck is a great mechanic and can easily rebuild an engine using used parts from junked School Buses. This is a major asset to Don and the track because 80% of school buses entered into any race get wrecked.

After the filmimg of, “Cheesewagon Derby” Chuck stopped racing School Buses and began working more on promoting the event in Florida and around the country. He now works side by side with Don Nerone in planning their yearly Figure-8 School Bus Race schedule, which starts and ends at Orlando Speedworld.
